Los Argentinos

There is a relatively new restaurant (it opened earlier this year) in Frankston called Los Argentinos. They serve a menu which is large and varied, along with a selection of drinks including Spanish, Argentinian and Mexican varieties to name a few. It is the only real Authentic tasting South American restuarant I have eaten at, with meats that are cooked the way meat should be made! I am a regular at this establishment because the food is so delicious and reasonably priced. Not only is the food great, but it has a nice atmosphere, with live music on weekends, wooden panelled walls and the owner is always around to check how you are doing. I'm pleased to hear that they are beginning to open new locations, with Patterson Lakes coming soon. I hope they make it closer to the CBD sometime soon!

I have tried probably half of what is on the menu, and find it difficult to just pick one item to choose everytime I am there. The tacos/torillas/enchiladas are all tasty, but it's the meat that is the real winner. The pork ribs are addictive. The mixed grill is value for money, well presented on a grill/bucket (that's is literally the only way I know how to describe it) and all the mains are always served with about a hundred things on the side so you never leave hungry!

I really do love the effort they have gone to to make the dining experience satisfying and value for money , for example, the salad is served with pieces of orange or pineapple on top (Love that!), there are dipping sauces for the meat (although I use them for the fries) and the jacket potato is always cooked perfectly with sour cream on top. I'm personally not a huge fan of the vegies (usually cauliflower, carrot and capsicum topped with cheese), but that is really a minor detail.

Here are a few photos of what the food is like..
