Foolish For Food Melbourne restaurants

Miyako, Southbank

This restaurant is located at Southgate and is a great place to go if you are looking for a place to go with a group of friends. They do a teppanyaki style menu as well as a la carte. I went with my sister and one of my besties late one night when we were craving Japanese food.

They are overlooking the river and have some really nice decorative features such as the stone feature wall (below).

The service here is really good, with waiters who wear name tags that are actually made up names that sound more interesting that I'm sure their own name does (as our waitress informed us after quizzing her if the name on her badge was actually her real name).

The food here was also really good. We ordered random things and shared between the 3 of us. I highly recommend the soft shell crab and the Tataki tuna. They were really good.

We also ordered Yaki soba (it was ok), crispy duck (YUM!), Tuna cutlet (Soo Good) and for dessert the Banana tempura. We left very satisfied.
